AYODHYA TRADITIONAL DISH
"Traditional Ayodhya-Style Kachoris"
The Traditional kachoris of ayodhya is the most common eating food in ayodhya it is made up of maida and onion potatoes fillings The kachoris are commonly eaten by aalo sabzi and gud chatni. In my ayodhya trip I mostly eat kachoris in breakfast and sometimes in lunch also. Now let's see the recipe of this kachori so that you all can also make it and enjoy it with your family.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup ghee or oil
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- Filling ingredients (e.g., spiced potatoes, peas, and onions)
Instructions:
1. Mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
2. Add the ghee or oil and mix until the dough comes together.
3. Gradually add the lukewarm water and knead the dough for 5-7 minutes.
4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles.
6. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
7. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges.
8. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the kachoris until they are golden brown.
9. Serve hot with a dollop of chutney or raita
These kachoris are a popular snack in Ayodhya, and are often served at temples and street food stalls. You can experiment with different fillings and spices to create your own unique flavor.
